My oak China hutch, came as it was, I got it for free, so i couldn't complain, SO GENEROUS, but. . . The oak was just a little outdated for my taste. I checked out some blogs with techniques on how to give wood furniture an updated and modern look. See the photos below to see what I came up with.
My china hutch all fixed up with a new paint job, fabric in the back instead of mirrors, new crystal and silver hardware and a dark antique glaze in the details. What do you think?
My Hutch all decorated and full of picture and Christmas trinkets with the lights on.
I simply love it!
On a completely random note --- Here is my new home all decorated for Christmas!
I just love this time of year!
