MISSING MY BLOG

It has been a terribly long time since i last updated this blog. I'm sorry to any of you who attempted to follow my blog and have probably now given up on any updates on Matthew, Me, and our little blog.
So . . . . . .
Here are some updates on what's new the past few months!
BUYING A HOME
We got all our money's saved up. . . went through probably 5 different realtors, 3 different loan officers, jumped through all the hoops, just to find out that we filed our taxes incorrectly last year, so we couldn't qualify for a loan anyway, and couldn't buy the duplex we were so excited about! All of this couldn't have come to fruition at a better time though. . . .
GIRLS CAMP

I was up at girls camp with my stake at the time this news came about. I spent all Winter, Spring and half of this summer having meetings, putting together meeting agendas, studying the rules and regulations of Heber Valley Camp, and worrying much about the details of planning girls camp, as the Stake Camp Director. I was finding much inspiration and support in the Leaders I was working with (I love them so much.) But. . . I could never have dreamed how much I would learn at girls camp as a leader instead of as one of the girls. It was one of those adventures, and experiences that changes you, and that you will never forget. I had some moments up at camp this year with the leaders and the youth that will stay with me forever. I felt so close to the Lord, that getting the news of our duplex deal falling through the cracks didn't make me crumble at the seams. Matthew and I both felt very much at peace with the situation, and excited to execute a new plan and to getting going on new goals and better prepared to find an even better investment in the future! I'm always amazed and grateful at how the Lord really blesses us with feelings of peace, contentment and understanding during times in our life when we need it the most. All that he asks of us is to keep open communication with him, be obedient and listen. I needed this insight and faith to be rejuvenated in my spirit and Girls Camp did it for me!
MICHE BAG

I was coming up on my year mark at Miche Bag at the beginning of the summer, I loved my job, loved the people I work with both in the office and the distributors. Miche is growing so rapidly, opportunities just keep popping up in different areas of the company. I knew that I wanted to advance in the company. I wanted to wait for the right opportunity to present itself, because I wanted to continue to work with the Distributors, but I was definitely ready to grow, and ready for a change. Miche Bag introduced a brand new position "Regional Sales Managers" They were hiring 2 people. I asked questions and contemplated the position, the more I learned about it, the more I realized this was the perfect job for me. I did a lot of work and went through the interview process, and guess what!?!? I GOT THE JOB!! I am so excited! I will now be traveling 1 week a month to different states in the Midwest to support Distributors, Attend Sales Meetings, and help with Recruiting efforts! Things have been a little chaotic since I am still doing my Old job as an AE, helping to train the new AE's taking my place, and already engaging and beginning work in my new Regional Sales Manager Position. It is refreshing and challenging to be doing something new. It feels right and it feels great!
BIKING

Matthew and I have been doing a lot of biking together this summer. It has been a great source of exercise and quality time together. We have both grown to have a real love for the sport. We aren't amazing bike racers, or anything like that. But we have gotten in the habit of going almost every day on a 20 mile bike ride on average. What a lovely summer sport!
ALL FOR NOW
This is all for now. This gives a good summary of our summer so far. I am back into the rhythm. I will think of some fun things to blog about and do a better job of keeping this posted again! I hope I didn't bore those of you that took the time to read this again. This is a pretty long one. I'll keep the next ones short and sweet, since they won't be so out of date, let's hope!
