2009 Christmas Promises

Well it's January so it's basically the norm to set some new years resolutions and goals to improve ourselves over the upcoming year. i thought i would list some of my New Years Resolutions for the year. Spiritual resolutions, we call Christmas promises to Christ in our family. so first i have 3 Christmas promises, then i have 3 resolutions.

I promise to go to the temple at least 6 times this year. I should go every single month, but i need to start with something realistic and go from there. i love the peace i feel in the temple and know i would feel more at ease with difficult times if i visited the House of the Lord more often!

I was recently called to be an nursery leader, which has been so much fun. The only down side to it, is that i don't get my weekly fill of learning from the scriptures in sunday school and relief society. I should study my scriptures at home anyway, but i feel even more urgency and importance in my personal scritpures study because of my new calling in nursery. So i am going to study my scriptures at least twice a week.

I say my prayers quite often, but there is definitely room for improvement, i was reflecting on how often i prayed as a missionary, and remembered that we would pray at least 6 times before we even left the apartment in the morning. I definitely need to say my prayers every morning and night and more often in between! My Heavenly Father deserves more of my time.

Now to the resolutions. I like my job as a receptionist at Wilson Mohr, but the only thing is i sit in an office chair at a computer desk all day long. Then i go home and usually sit around the house all evening. I'm not getting the excersize i need to stay in shape, happy, and healthy. I know excersize gives me energy, emotional strength, and a toned body. "excersize releases endorphens, endorphens make you happy, and happy people just don't kill their husbands!" -Elle Woods :)

Matthew and I have been trying to pay off bills and save money to move out into our own place or to buy another duplex. So we are really make a special effort to save more and spend less impulsively.
Having a positive Attitude. I'm not going to gossip, i 'm going to look for the good in everyone, laugh often, have a sense of humor, and be honest with myself and others. I'm looking forward to a Happy and Progressive year! I will be a better person by the end of 2009.
